Summer 2009 and Jordan, who turned 12 in May, and Madison, who will be 7 on August 23rd, are having another activity and adventure-filled time off from school. Madison is enrolled in a series of week-long summer day camps, learning to skateboard, visiting every kids amusement park in the area, and just kicking back. Jordan spent a few weeks in Kennolyn, a camp in the Santa Cruz Mountains, where he learned how to climb ropes, archery and other sports. Then he and his dad, one of the Assistant Scoutmasters of Boy Scout Troop 36, spent a week in the Sierra’s, backpacking, trout fishing and other Scout stuff.
