Jordan, our ten-year old son, and Madison, his 5-year old sister have had an amazing past few months. In October Jordan visited relatives in Toronto, Canada, and went up 147 stories to the top of CN Tower still the highest observation building (until the one in Dubai is completed). His Mustang soccer team has had an amazing season, winning the Dick King Championship and now heading into their multi-city tournament this weekend. His sister Madison is in two soccer programs, and hopes to get into the Mustang league next year. In October both kids also were able to visit San Diego, thanks to a real estate conference their dad was attending. Highlights included Legoland, touring the famous Midway Aircraft Museum, the wildlife park and lots of other great San Diego adventures. Halloween was once again a highlight, with costume parades, class Halloween parties, and of course the actual Halloween evening out trick-or-treating. Madison is in the initial Girl Scout level of Daisy’s, while Jordan has been interviewing a number of Boy Scout Troops in preparation for his upcoming transition from Cub to Boy Scout. One recent great child evolution is Madison’s intense desire to learn to read. Every night her dad let’s her slowly sound out words in a reading primer, but when he later tries to read to her from more difficult books she tackles those as well. Watch out Dr. Seuss, here comes Madison!
