Merck is speeding up its layoffs of up to 13,000 jobs because elimination of vacant jobs is taking too long, immediate focus is U.S. downsizing … State of California warned 3,300 state workers that their positions might disappear … Bank of America is cutting between 30,000 – 40,000 positions … U.S. Postal Service is seeking legislative changes to allow cutting up to 220,000 positions … I’ve heard figures in the 10,000 – 15,000 range for Cisco’s downsizing project, rumors about Wells Fargo also slashing positions, so please let me know which corporations are hiring to offset all of these so I can help them with their expansions!
